Information for MVCC Grant Recipients
As of the 2026 fiscal year, MVCC funding is dispersed as a direct grant, meaning grant funds are supplied upfront rather than through reimbursement. There is also a newly required grant report. Please read on for information on the LCC Program Guidelines, how to collect your grant funding, mandatory reporting, compliance, and modification and accessibility requirements.
RECEIVE YOUR AWARDED FUNDS
To accept your grant and receive payment, recipients must:
Complete the following forms:
Initialed copy of your award letter (the body of the email notifying you of your award)
W-9 for the individual/organization receiving funding
If you received an MVCC grant in FY25, your W-9 is already on file with the Town of West Tisbury and does not need to be resubmitted unless the information has changed.
If your project involves third-party vendors:Complete a separate Grant Agreement for each vendor.
Submit a W-9 for any vendor receiving $2,000 or more.
Email the signed originals within two weeks of receiving this letter to both of the following addresses:
a.kellykaye@gmail.com (MVCC Treasurer, Kelly Kaye)
marthasvineyardculturalcouncil@gmail.com
Please note:
Incomplete submissions will delay payment.
Payment is issued by the Town of West Tisbury (MVCC’s fiscal agent) approximately 2–3 weeks after all required forms are received.
SUBMIT YOUR GRANT REPORT
You are required to submit a Final Report upon completion of your project. Final reports are due by November 30 of the year in which you are awarded this grant. If your program takes place in December of the award year, then your Final Report is due December 31 of that year.
The Final Report form is available here. We strongly encourage you to review the report before your project begins, so that you are prepared as you move through each stage of your work.
The MVCC may require the return of grant funds if a Final Report is not submitted or the funded project is not completed. Failure to return funds, if requested, may affect eligibility for future MVCC funding. According to IRS guidelines, grant funds may be considered taxable income. Please retain this award letter and your check stub for your tax records. The MVCC does not provide tax advice.
GRANT COMPLIANCE
The financial support of the MVCC and Mass Cultural Council must be acknowledged in all published materials and announcements related to your project. Please carefully review the required credit and publicity guidelines.
These credit requirements are mandated by the Mass Cultural Council. Failure to comply may jeopardize eligibility for future funding.
MODIFICATIONS AND ACCESSIBILITY
If you need additional time to complete your project or wish to request other modifications, you must submit the request in writing to the MVCC (email is sufficient). Extension and modification requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not automatically approved.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that people with disabilities have equal access to public programs and services. All LCC-funded events and programs–including the facility or event location and the program content–must be accessible to people with disabilities.
